Every family in CFA is required to have at least one parent on “campus” during class hours. To be a part of this co-op is to commit to volunteer within some of several different areas of service, chosen by the individual/family. Each family will need to earn a minimum number of “points” to fulfill this commitment. A list of possibilities and preferences will be provided. The point system is incorporated as a way to minimize costs for those families who are participating.

Nursery/Pre-school: There will be childcare provided for those who have older siblings enrolled in the Enhancement and/or Upper Level Classes. This will be staffed by parents.

Enhancement Classes: These classes will be for children in kindergarten through fourth grade. The focus of these classes will be to supplement core skills with fun, extracurricular-type classes. Offerings may include: Math Fun, Hands-On Science, Reading Fun, Music and/or Art.

Core/Upper-Level Classes: These classes will be designed for fifth grade and up. Exact classes offered will depend upon teacher availability, but it is our goal to provide at least one class for each core area (Math, Science, History, and Language Arts) per grade level. In some instances, it will be possible to combine grade levels, such as a 5th & 6th grade history course.

Upper-Level Classes will be for a grade, and weekly assignments will be given. Parental support and supervision will be required.

Classes will take place every Monday, during the regular school year.
